User settings

User settings contain preferences and profile information that belong to you rather than to the workspace.

Open the workspace menu from the top navigation bar. Select your name for Profile, or use Appearance, Switch organization, and Sign out directly from the menu.

Edit your profile

Open the workspace menu and select your name.

The profile contains:

Profile picture — supplied by your sign-in account
Full name — how your name appears in the interface
Nickname — the name Soma can use when addressing you
Category of work — your primary area of work
Country — selected from a searchable list
Email — supplied by your sign-in account and shown as read-only

Text fields save when you press Enter or leave the field. Select fields save when you choose an option. A confirmation appears after a successful update.

Keep your profile current when your role or location changes. Category of work can also be used to route participants through different paths in a session.

Update your work profile

The Work profile section contains attributes defined by your workspace, such as seniority, discipline, or work arrangement.

Choose one or more values as each field allows. Mandatory attributes must be completed; optional attributes can be left blank. Your selections save to the current workspace and can be used to route sessions.

Only you and workspace admins can see your attribute values. If you belong to more than one workspace, each workspace has its own attributes and answers.

Choose an appearance

Open Appearance from the workspace menu and choose:

System to follow your device setting
Light
Dark

System is the default. Your choice is remembered on the current device.

Switch organizations

If your account belongs to more than one Soma organization, select Switch organization from the workspace menu and choose the workspace you want to open.

Profile information belongs to your account, while conversations, memory, groups, pages, and workspace settings remain scoped to the selected workspace.

Sign out

Select Sign out from the workspace menu to end the current session on this device.

Privacy and current limits

You cannot change your accounts email address.
Your profile picture comes from your sign-in identity and is not edited from the profile screen.
Profile updates sync to other open Soma app windows.
Full name, nickname, and country are protected fields. They are stored using the de-identification system, and workspace privacy settings control how Soma reads them. (see privacy for more details)
