Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in every plan?

Every plan includes every feature. Plans differ only in how much usage your workspace has.

  • Chat — a thinking partner for leadership, culture, change and facilitation questions, with memory that carries context between your conversations, and images, PDFs and CSVs you attach
  • Pages — private and shared documents that give Soma durable context about your work
  • Skills — guides for recurring kinds of work that shape how Soma helps
  • Knowledge base — curated material on leadership, culture and team dynamics, plus workshop activities and coaching moves
  • Groups and attributes — your teams, departments and member dimensions, for shared pages and session audiences
  • Workforce sessions — structured one-to-one conversations Soma runs with each participant, ending in a narrative report
  • Privacy controls — de-identification and workspace-wide sharing settings
How does usage work?

Each plan gives your workspace a monthly token budget. Using Soma draws on it: conversations in chat, reading pages and searching the knowledge base, and the interviews in workforce sessions.

The session sizes on each plan, such as 20 people on 12 questions, illustrate roughly what the budget covers. They are not a fixed quota. How far the budget goes depends on how you use Soma — longer conversations and more follow-up questions use more.

Admins can see plan and usage information in Settings → Billing.

How do member seats work?
  • Default seats are included. The member’s chat, and their participation in any session they are invited to, draws on the workspace budget.
  • Standard seats ($15/month) give a member a dedicated usage limit for their own work with Soma.
  • Premium seats ($30/month) give five times the usage of a Standard seat.

Standard and Premium members also take part in workforce sessions for free, in as many sessions as they are invited to. Their participation draws on neither the workspace budget nor their own usage limit.

What happens when we reach our usage limit?

Admins can add a top-up from Settings → Billing, move to a larger plan, or give the members who use Soma most a Standard or Premium seat so their work no longer draws on the workspace budget.

(Draft — confirm what members see when the budget runs out mid-conversation or mid-session.)

How does Soma understand our organization?

Soma draws on several kinds of context when she answers:

  • your current conversation
  • memory of relevant details from your earlier conversations
  • pages you write, or mention in chat with @
  • your workspace’s organization profile
  • the curated knowledge base for specialist frameworks and practices

The more context you keep in pages, the less you need to repeat. Pages marked Hide from Soma stay available to people but not to Soma.

Who can see our conversations and pages?
  • Chats and memory are private to each member within the workspace.
  • Pages are either private or belong to a group, and are available according to that group’s membership.
  • Work profile attributes, such as seniority or location, are visible to the member and workspace admins.
  • Session contributions are reviewed by each participant before they are shared. They can correct, clarify or remove points from Soma’s summary, and only submitted summaries go into a report.
What kinds of workforce sessions can we run?

Sessions suit anything that needs more depth than a survey: culture assessments, team diagnostics, shared reflections, onboarding and team listening.

In the session designer, admins write exact or generative questions, set how many follow-ups Soma may ask, and route people down different paths by group, attribute, category of work or their previous answer. A session can be sent to all members, a group, selected people or new joiners, and opened on demand, on a date, or when someone joins.

Reports can cover a single run or build across runs of the same session.

How is our data protected?

Soma de-identifies sensitive details — names, places, contact details, organization names, URLs and monetary values — before they are stored, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Admins decide which of those categories Soma may use when generating a response. Each workspace’s data is stored in the region chosen when it is created, such as the European Union or the United States.

Can we change plans as we grow?

Yes. Every plan includes the same features, so moving between them changes your usage, not your workspace or your data. Admins manage the plan from Settings → Billing.

(Draft — confirm: when a change takes effect and how billing is prorated.)

Who is Cultural Frontier for, and how do we choose an amount?

Cultural Frontier is for organizations pioneering new ways of working, at a scale or in a shape our other plans don’t fit. You choose the amount you pay, and we agree the usage that goes with it together.

(Draft — confirm how the amount is set and how to get in touch.)

Do you offer refunds?

Because every AI model call carries a cost, we don’t generally offer refunds. If something unusual happened, get in touch and we’ll look at your case.

(Draft — confirm policy and contact link.)

How do I cancel my plan?

Admins can cancel from Settings → Billing. If you can’t access Soma, email support@lighthousenarrative.com.

(Draft — confirm the support address.)

Can you give me a receipt or invoice for tax purposes?

Yes. You receive a receipt by email after each payment.
