Workspace settings

Workspace settings control the shared parts of Soma. Open Settings from the workspace menu to find:

  • Organization
  • Groups
  • Attributes
  • People
  • Privacy
  • Billing

Members can view settings. Actions that affect the workspace, membership, or billing require the appropriate admin or group-owner access.

The Organization page contains the shared profile for the workspace:

  • Logo
  • Organization name
  • Industry
  • Organization type
  • Size
  • Primary location
  • Description

The information is visible across the workspace and can help Soma interpret questions in the context of your organization.

Use the description for facts that change how advice should be framed: what the organization does, who it serves, and any important operating context. Keep temporary projects and detailed strategy in pages instead.

The People page lists members and pending invitations, including each person’s role and status.

Admins can:

  1. Select Invite and enter one or more email addresses.
  2. Choose whether the invitees join as Member or Admin.
  3. Add invitees to groups as part of the invitation.
  4. Resend or revoke a pending invitation.
  5. Change a member’s workspace role.
  6. Remove a member from the workspace.

Soma prevents removing the last admin. Make another member an admin before demoting the only remaining admin.

Use Groups to represent teams, departments, offices, communities, and other parts of the organization.

Group owners and workspace admins can update a group’s details and membership. Open groups also allow members to join or leave for themselves. see groups for access levels, hierarchy, and session use.

Use Attributes to define member dimensions such as seniority, discipline, tenure, or work arrangement. Admins choose the available values and whether members must complete them.

Attributes can be used to route sessions and segment results. See attributes for profile visibility, archived values, and combined routing conditions.

The Privacy page shows the workspace’s data region and controls which categories of de-identified data Soma can read in clear form.

Privacy controls apply across the workspace. see privacy before changing them, especially if the workspace discusses sensitive people or organizational issues.

The Billing page shows plan and usage information. Admins can manage billing, top-ups, and payment details. Members who are not admins see that billing is managed by their workspace admins.

  • The data region is chosen when the workspace is created and cannot currently be changed.
  • A member cannot remove themself from the People page.
  • Invitation batches have validation and rate limits. Invalid or existing addresses are reported individually.
  • Workspace profile changes are shared immediately; there is no separate draft state.
  • User settings covers your personal profile and appearance.
  • Groups explains group access, membership, hierarchy, and archiving.
  • Attributes explains workspace-defined member dimensions.
  • Privacy explains de-identification and sharing controls.
